Masthead ideations

I searched through many types of fonts and experimented them with the ideas i had for my magazine cover name. i also used different colors and size to decide on my masthead and decided to use stand-up as my masthead and will most likely use the colors black and yellow.

After talking with classmates and my professor i came up with some magazine cover ideas first i was going for the scary television movie clowns. but after talking with my professor and him telling me the topic doesn't have to just be about clowns it could be related to clowns. then i thought that clowns make people laugh and thought about who else makes people laugh and thats comedians. so then i came up with an idea of creating a magazine cover about a stand up comedy show or tour.

My thoughts on my magazine cover i was assigned the topic of clowns so the first thing that came to my mind about clowns was scary killing clowns.so i searched pictures on scary clowns, weapons, people scared and movie theaters.

during class i participated in the class assignment of doing a mind map when we looked at the magazine ads we did for are last project and this is how our mind map looked after we were finished. and for ar next project the class choose are next topic to be about ninjas and clowns.

Magazine Ad. my magazine ad was created by first finding an ad in a magazine and i snapped a photo of myself to incorporate myself in the ad to make it seem like im apart of the ad and after doing that this is what i came out with and i also added a text saying the worlds most comfortable sneakers.

In my final piece of seed packet i was told more feedback of how it could have been better and how the streaks take away from the font and how the babies seem to be identical in a way an i should have made them just a little bit different

second critique of seed packet

In my second critique of my seed packet i received many feedbacks on my piece one was about the font  again and as well as the scribble affect and how the streaks seemed to take away from the font. Some people said it worked well and some said it didn't. I was also told about the gray border on my piece and how it was distracting to the piece.

Since in the first critique i got feedback saying the baby seemed to be copied and just placed on top of the leaves. I just decided to draw my own baby and leaves and scanned it on to the computer.
